A gripping story about the final psychoanalytic session between Dr. Ralph Greenson and the unforgettable American icon Marilyn Monroe. What happened after their meeting in her home on August 5, 1962 - just hours before Marilyn was found dead? What led to the tragic outcome?
Based on authentic documents and real events, the play by Dr. Vivian Pramatarov-Hamburger and Prof. Andreas Hamburger reveals the true, dramatic nature of the star behind the façade of the seductive blonde desired by millions. Childhood trauma, failed marriages, the brutal machinery of Hollywood, alcohol and barbiturates, entanglement in high-stakes politics, and dangerous liaisons with the Kennedy brothers all tie Marilyn to the renowned scholar and psychoanalyst Dr. Ralph Greenson. He too carries a hidden family drama, yet he devotes himself to helping the young woman - even crossing professional boundaries in their relationship.
A production that peers behind the dazzling myth to explore the essence of a deeply unhappy woman.
