HONEST
Cía Kiko López - Spain
In HONEST, the protagonist immerses himself through the animation of an object in an internal challenge to find the beautiful in the human being. To do this, the object will come to life and with the protagonist will travel through play and rejection accompanied by fragile, vulnerable and honest gaze. The relationship between two beings is about self-acceptance.

The Black Box Festival has selected Kiko López’s performance at the Choreographic Competiton Bucles & Carme’n’Dansa /Bucles Festival, Valencia/.
The guest performance is presented in partnership with the Bucles Festival in Valencia.
Kiko López is a Valencian dancer and choreographer.
He is the director and choreographer of his own company, Cía Kiko López. His training is based on Hip hop, Contemporary Dance, Tribal Dances and Modern Jazz at prestigious academies such as Alvin Ailey, American Dance Theater, Debbie Reynolds Studio, Broadway Dance Center NY, Company&Company, Deltebre Danzo among many others.
The company has been awarded in several competitions such as Burgos-New York (2018) with the work Djama. The same work was the winner in the international competition The best On (2017). This 2024, with his work “HONEST” he has obtained the awards of the SOLODOS Spain/Costa Rica Competition, 2nd Prize at CICBUY (Burgos) and in Italy at the CORTOINDANÇA competition.
He has shown his work at festivals such as: Dansa Valencia, La Mercè, Dansa Metropolitana, Sismògraf, Hop Festival, Per Amor A Lhart, Figueres a Dansa, Mica Festival, Damça em Trånsito, Prisma Festival Panama. Spanish Cultural Center of Costa Rica and Guatemala, among many others.
In addition, he was the winner of the television program “Tù sí que vales” together with the Kulbik Dance Company.
Kiko teaches workshops and performs stage creations of urban and contemporary dance in countries such as Brazil, Italy, Ireland, Russia, Cuba, Greece, Portugal, France, Panama, Costa Rica, Mexico and Spain.
Works that stand out in his career are with the companies Les Impuxibles, Physical Momentum (Mexico), Lali Ayguadé Company, Kulbik Dance Company, Iseli-Chiodi Dance Company (Ireland), Daniel Morales. Cia, Thomas Noone Company, Cia Baal and Cia InMotus among others.
In 2023 he was a candidate for the Max Awards as best male performer for the play HARAKIRI and nominated as best performer for the Critics' Awards in 2023 in Catalonia.
Currently, the company is on tour with its works “HONEST”, “SR.W (DOBLE U)” and WIWBAK throughout Spain and Latin America, it has been selected by XARXA ESCENA 2025 with HONEST and this same work has been nominated as best street work for the IVC Valencian Performing Arts Awards.
